"The new system went in on March 24," Schiffer said. "We went from manual to computers and it's going to make operations a lot more efficient."

Schiffer has worked for Aston Hotels & Resorts for eight years and most recently assisted with the installation of the Embassy Vacation Resort Poipu Point's new property management computer system.

She also has handled special projects for Aston Kaanapali Shores, and managed reservations, the front desk and was general manager at the Maui Park condominium.

"I grew up on Kauai and was on Maui for four years," Schiffer said. "It's nice to be in the big city." Schiffer and her husband, Peter, reside in Makiki with their children: James, and Steven.
