"We're preparing to handle larger accommodations (when the convention center opens next year)," Kokoska said. "We're also into merchandise expansion and in the process of doubling our display area. It should be completed by June."

She replaces Rob Goldberg, who became general manager at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Francisco. There are 76 Hard Rock Cafes in 30 countries.

Kokoska has been with the Hard Rock Cafe for five years and was assistant general manager at the Waikiki cafe for the past six months. She worked at the Hard Rock Cafe in San Diego for two years and came to Honolulu three years ago.

She earned a bachelor's degree in marketing and business administration at the University of Colorado.
