Pushing service standards higher

Shiro Yasuno, new president of Prince-ville Corp., is always looking at ways to improve service.

"We are doing a fantastic job but I want to improve it further," he said.

He was previously the director and general manager of the international division and Princeville division of Suntory Ltd.

Princeville Corp. is owned by three Japanese companies, Suntory Ltd., the majority stockholder, Mitsui & Co. Ltd., and Nippon Shinpan Co. Ltd.

Yasuno started with Suntory in 1964. His career has included eight years as president of Suntory International Corp. in New York as well as work in Japan on the Princeville project and on Suntory's 17 restaurants.

He is a graduate of Hitosubashi University in Tokyo, and has bachelor's and master's degrees from Northwestern University.
