Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai

High surf advisory, all north shores. Cloudy, showery tonight and tomorrow morning, then frequent afternoon sunshine. SE winds 10-20 mph tonight turning easterly 10-25 mph tomorrow.

Big Island

High surf advisory, north shores. Cloudy, showery tonight. Some windward side showers tomorrow morning, upslope showers in the afternoon on the Kona side. Winds SE 10-20 mph tonight, easterly 10-25 mph tomorrow.

Marine advisories

A weakening surface trough over Oahu is moving west slowly. A high surf advisory remains in effect for the north shores of all islands. Small craft advisories remain in effect for waters around Kauai and Oahu.

Coastal waters: Tonight, southeast winds 15 knots, seas 4 feet, a few windward showers. Tomorrow, east winds 15-20 knots, seas 4-8 feet, a few windward showers. Channels: Tonight, east winds 20 knots, seas 8 feet. Tomorrow, east winds 20-25 knots, seas 8-12 feet.

Volcano

The lava pond inside Puu Oo cinder cone has risen, and instruments show underground pressures rising.
