Singer Anderson
leads a busy life

What ever happened to Patricia Lei Anderson, Miss Hawaii of 1962?

Patricia Lei Anderson, who was fourth runner-up in the Miss America contest, married Harry J. Murray in 1964 and is still going strong as a singer, sometimes actress and fitness advocate.

She stars on the video "Hula for Health," a video she also wrote.

Having been referred to as a successful businesswoman, entertainer, composer and educator, she's also a mother of five and grandmother of four. Active in the creative side of Hawaiian crafts, she's a part of Native Books and Beautiful Things, a downtown retail outlet at 222 Merchant St. which offers T-shirts, ceramics, books, aloha wear and jewelry, and also has concessions at Bishop Museum.

In addition, she has been with Franklin Quest Time Management as a seminar coordinator and instructor for 10 years.

The late Tony Todaro, in his "Golden Years of Hawaiian Entertainment," said: "Patricia Lei Anderson is a lovely personality with an exciting trained voice ... more beautiful and talented today, Patricia Lei Anderson is a winner for any impresario that hires her."
