This chair and other designer items
will be sold at the Sample Sale Feb. 15.

For your home:
Fine designs at a discount

Thinking about getting a new sofa or chair?

Tired of the same old posters on the wall?

Need a new look for bedroom?

All things are possible - even if you're on a tight budget.

Come to the interior designer's Sample Sale Feb. 15, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gentry Pacific Center, on the second floor at 560 N. Nimitz Highway in Iwilei.

Items for sale include furniture and accessories from model homes, art, lamps, baskets and even office furniture.

"Those who attended the sale last year purchased unique and quality furnishings at deep discount prices- many at below wholesale prices," said Faredah Ward, interior designer and chairwoman of the Sample Sale.

"In 1996 we sold 80 percent of the nearly $200,000 worth of furnishings on sale within the first two hours."

This year, members of the American Society of Interior Designers again will clear their showrooms for the one-day sale.

An entrance fee of $1 will get you into the second-floor sale location. Proceeds will benefit the Hawaii chapter of ASID in its community projects such as scholarships and community education on designing for Americans with disabilities.

Come early for the best bargains and leave the VISA card home. This is a cash-only event. Bring a truck or van to haul home large purchases.

For more information, contact Ward at 395-1177.
