"We want to be the Windward residents' primary shopping destination," Cabral said. "We're improving the mix of shops and want to bring theaters to the mall."

Cabral will direct security, maintenance, marketing and property management.

For nearly four years, Cabral has been general manager for the Waikele Center/Waikele Factory Stores. He has 15 years of real estate management experience, including condominiums, office buildings and retail projects. This includes work with the state and Monroe & Friedlander Inc.

Cabral is past president of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Hawaii, and past secretary for directors of the Waipahu Business Association.
