Hawaiian Airlines Inc. will use a high-powered computer management system to get the best yield it can from its aircraft and routes. Hawaiian Airlines
to computerize routingThe system will monitor a wide range of the airline's operations automatically on a minute-to-minute basis, Hawaiian said today. It will report on such factors as the popularity of certain flights at certain times and seasonal traffic to allow the airline to maximize fleet usage.
Hawaiian signed an agreement with SABRE Decision Technologies, owned by American Airlines parent company AMR Corp. to install and run the system, called AIRMAX.
The companies will start loading historical data into the system next month and expect full operation in the fall, Hawaiian said.

of mac nuts likelyThat is four million pounds more than last year. Improved weather in the major growing areas, and continuing maturity of younger trees boosted the production, said Don Martin, state agricultural statistician.
Total acreage in the macadamia crop was about 20,200 acres, only a slight decline from last year, Martin said.
Prices at the farm averaged 76.0 cents per pound, two cents more than the previous season.
