Asian Sale: KCAA Thrift Shop offers antiques, scrolls, clothes, dishes and decorative items, 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 18, KCAA Pre-schools of Hawaii, 2707 S. King St., Moiliili. Benefits tuition-aid programs.

Golf tournament: The 24th Annual Napili Kai Youth Foundation Invitational Golf Tournament will be Tuesday through Jan. 24 at the Kaanapali North and South courses. Tickets are $110 for golfers and $85 for nongolfers (green fees not included). Call Louise Ross at Napili Kai Beach Club, 669-6271 ext. 7501, Maui. The nonprofit Napili Kai Foundation teaches children about their Polynesian heritage through arts and crafts, dance, language and history.

Rummage Sale: St. Mark Lutheran School sells books, videos, toys, household items and baked goods to benefit 4th grade Hawaiiana trip. 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 25. St. Mark Lutheran Achool, 45-725 Kamehameha Hwy., Kaneohe. Call 247-5677.

Breakfast Brunch: The Kauai chapter of the American Culinary Federation cooks up Danish pastry, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, omelets and more for a fund-raiser, 7 to 11 a.m. Feb. 16, Queen Victoria Dining Room, Kauai Community College. Tickets $8 general, $4 children in advance; $10 and $5 at the door. Tickets available at Pono Market in Kapaa; Fish Express in Lihue; Kalaheo Coffee Co.; Koloa Fish Market; Hanalei Bay Resort, Princeville; and the college. Proceeds go to the college's Food Service Training Program.

Fantasies in Chocolate: Sample delicacies donated by restaurants, bakeries and specialty shops 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, a benefit for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Admission is $25 or $55, including brunch, an exclusive hour of tasting and an appearance by chocolatier Alice Medrich, author of "Chocolate and Low-Fat Desserts" and "Cocolat - Extraordinary Chocolate Desserts."
