There’s no agreement
yet on state payroll lag

Q: I am a state employee and I am wondering if the state is still going to impose the payroll lag. If so, whom can I contact to get written information on how it will work? All I know now is that the pay dates are being pushed back, and in February there will only be one paycheck. I personally would like to know exactly how many days and how much money will be taken or lagged.

Discussions between the state and unions over implementation of the payroll lag are continuing and no agreement has yet been reached.

You should contact your union representative to find out where things stand.

Or you can call state comptroller Sam Callejo, 586-0400, who would be overseeing the payroll lag if and when it is implemented.
