Fantasies in Chocolate: Gift-wrapped tickets for a day of indulgence with truffles, pies and other sweets may be ordered by mail until Friday. Sample delicacies donated by restaurants, bakeries and specialty shops 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, a benefit for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Admission is $25 or $55, including brunch, an exclusive hour of tasting and an appearance by chocolatier Alice Medrich, author of “Chocolate and Low-Fat Desserts” and “Cocolat -- Extraordinary Chocolate Desserts.” Tickets may be picked up at the Society through Dec. 24. Breakfast Brunch: The Kauai chapter of the American Culinary Federation cooks up Danish pastry, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, omelets and more for a fund-raiser, 7 to 11 a.m. Feb. 16, Queen Victoria Dining Room, Kauai Community College. Tickets $8 general, $4 children in advance; $10 and $5 at the door.
