Robert Chong said he was resting yesterday when he got the call from the Star-Bulletin telling him he'd won the Football Fever Contest. He can rest a lot easier now, knowing the win is worth $500.
Chong, a 67-year-old retired federal comptroller at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, predicted correctly all 10 games listed for the contest last week.
"The money comes in handy, especially now that it's Christmas," said Chong.
He said that he found the Dallas victory over Arizona to be the most difficult NFL prediction but he thought the college game matchups were easy.
Chong had to match the 10-0 score of KCCN's Brickwood Galuteria in order to qualify for the random drawing for the cash.
Galuteria and the celebrity men's panel now lead the season with a 282-168 record. The women panelists are 277-173.
Star-Bulletin columnist Mike Fitzgerald continues to lead the entire panel with a 100-50 record.
KHON-FOX2's Leslie Wilcox leads the women with a 97-53 record.
