No early lines at UH

The ticket package for both the NCAA women's volleyball second-round match and regional matches will be on sale at the University of Hawaii ticket office in the Special Events Arena tomorrow through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The UH Athletic Department will not allow buyers to line up at the ticket office windows until 12:01 a.m. tomorrow morning. Anyone standing in line prior to that time will be asked to leave by UH security officers.

Ticket packages cost $29 for lower level seats, $23 for the upper level. Single event tickets will be sold only on game day providing they are available.

The second-round match is Sunday at 4 p.m. against the winner of Oral Robert vs. Colorado.



BYU-HAWAII EDGES YONSEI

The Brigham Young University-Hawaii Seasiders rallied in the second half to overtake Yonsei University (South Korea), 69-68, in an exhibition men's basketball game at the Cannon Activities Center.

BYUH's 6-foot-10 center Ionatana Enosa led all scorers with 27 points while teammate Pa'ulasi Matavao led all rebounders with 12.



HUSKIES TOP UH SWIMMERS

At Seattle, the University of Washington men's and women's swimming teams beat the University of Hawaii by 162-86 and 162-84 scores, respectively, yesterday.



RIVERA TENNIS TITLIST

Jose Rivera won the singles title in Hawaii State Open Tennis Championships Sunday at the Turtle Bay Hilton courts with a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Punahou student Myles Uyema.

Rivera, a master sergeant, is stationed at Hickam Air Force Base. He played collegiately at Texas Tech.

Rivera then teamed with Frank Delgaudio to win the doubles crown with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 triumph over Randy Kop and Allan Jensen.



LEE WINS FUKUOKA

Atlanta Olympic silver medalist and 1993 Honolulu Marathon champion Lee Bong Ju of South Korea shook off Alberto Juzdado of Spain in a shoulder-to-shoulder battle to the finish to win the Fukuoka International Marathon Sunday.

Lee was timed in 2 hours, 10 minutes, 48 seconds. He will not compete in Sunday's Honolulu Marathon.
