
There are still a few tables open at restaurants around town if you're late making plans for Thanksgiving Day3. Ring up your favorite restaurant - whether it's Zippy's or La Mer - to see what's on the menu. on turkey dayA Pacific Cafe: In addition to a regular menu of appetizers and dinner specials, Thanksgiving day turkey will be served as an a la carte entree Imu Style, with Macadamia Sage Stuffing, Giblet Sauce, Apple with Cranberries, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Yams and Sweet Potato, at $13.50 for lunch and $15.50 for dinner. Festive desserts will be available also, on an a la carte basis. Lunch runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. Call 593-0035 for reservations.
Casablanca: A bistro-style dinner of Roast Turkey with Mushroom-Chestnut Stuffing ($17.50 per person complete) awaits in the front room from 5 p.m. for diners seeking a traditional experience, but it's the back "tent" that captures the restaurant's Moroccan flavor. On the menu is Braised Turkey in Saffron with Almonds and Raisins and Couscous Stuffing. This will be served with soup; a Moroccan Salad Medley of Tabouli, Hummus and Paprika Baba Ghanouj; and Pastilla - chicken, eggs and almonds baked in phyllo and topped with powdered sugar. Dessert and mint tea will be served as well, for $25 per person complete. Call 262-8196 for reservations. The regular menu will be available as well. Casablanca is at 19 Hoolai St. in Kailua.
Chan's Chinese Restaurant: Turkey doesn't have to be the bird of choice. Here, Taro Duck is the centerpiece of a nine-course meal for 10 offered 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $138 for a party of 10. Also on the menu are a Cold Appetizer Combo, Scallop Soup, Sizzling Sea Bass Steak, Pan-Fried Shrimp, Steamed Seafood, Shredded Chicken, Noodles, Rice and Dessert. Chan's is in Puck's Alley, 2600 S. Cliquo: Order from the regular menu or choose a complete meal of Roast Turkey with Potato Puree and Autumn Vegetables, a Puree of Organic Pumpkin Soup and dessert of Tarte Tatin. The cost is $32 per person. Cliquo is in the Niu Valley Shopping Center. Reserve at 377-8854.
Duc's Bistro: Traditional Roast Turkey will be served from 4 p.m. with a Salad and Pumpkin Cheesecake for $18.95 at the downtown restaurant. The regular menu will also be available. Duc's Bistro is at 1188 Maunakea St. Call 531-6325.
Kahala Moon Cafe: An Alae-Buttered Roast Turkey is the centerpiece of a $19.95 per person meal that also includes Portuguese Sausage Brioche Stuffing, Sweet Potato Macadamia Nut Crisp, Rock Shrimp and Broccoli Casserole, Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, and more. Seatings start at 4 p.m. If you can't get a table, it's not too late to put in an order-to-go. The same menu runs $59.95 for four. Kahala Moon is at 4614 Kilauea Ave., Kahala Mall. Call 732-7777.
Kincaid's: Usually a fish lover's paradise, the restaurant will be offering a full roast turkey dinner, complete with mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie for $16.95, in addition to the regular seafood specialties. Dinner will be available from 4 to 8:30 p.m. Kincaid's is in the Ward Warehouse. Call 591-2005.
Prince Court: Get an early start with a 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. brunch buffet or make evening reservations from 4 to 9 p.m. for Roast Turkey with Sausage and Chestnut Stuffing, Pan Gravy and Cranberry Relish. Stop off at the Chinese Dim Sum Station and Wok Station also for Stir-Fried Catch, Scallops, Rock Shrimp and Chicken. Or maybe you'll want to fill up on Prime Rib, Carved Suckling Pig or Lemongrass Crusted Snapper, plus an array of appetizers, omelettes (brunch only), salads and desserts. The cost is $39 for food only; $19 for children ages 4 to 12; free for under 3. Wines by the glass $5. (Taxes and gratuities not included). Reserve at 956-1111. The restaurant is in the Hawaii Prince Hotel, 100 Holomoana St. in Waikiki.
