The Honolulu Sharks won their fourth consecutive game and swept the three-game series with the Hilo Stars with an 8-5 Hawaii Winter Baseball league victory as 794 watched at Rainbow Stadium last night. Fullmers hot bat
fuels SharksBrad Fullmer, the league's top hitter at .359, had two hits, Michael Barrett had two hits and two RBIs and Geoff Blum cracked a solo home run for the Sharks.
Fullmer also increased his league RBI lead to 28 and took over the top spot with his third triple of the season.
Brent Butler led the Star with three hits and two RBIs.
At Wailuku, Chris Fussell, Mike Iglesias and Matt Snyder combined to pitch a six-hit shutout for the Stingrays before 1,346 fans at War Memorial Stadium. Maui 2, West Oahu 0
Fussell earned his first victory of the season, allowing three hits in five innings, walking one and striking out five. His 35 strikeouts ties him for the league lead with Honolulu's Hideki Okajima.
Jaime Jones and Mitsuru Honma drove in the Maui runs. Atsunari Inaba and Manny Vasquez paired hits for the CaneFires.
