WEDNESDAY

Mililani Library: Jennifer Thomas shares stories from other countries, for ages 6 to 12, at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Storytelling for younger children 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Call 627-7070.

Salt Lake-Moanalua Library: Free Family Night story hour with Nyla Ching-Fujii and musician Jeffry Stephen Babb, 6:30 p.m. Call 831-6831.



THURSDAY

Aina Haina Library: Meet cartoonist Dave Thorne, 3 p.m.

Kaimuki Library: Preschool Storytime 10:30 a.m. Thursdays in November and December. Jennifer Thomas tells the tale of the "The Laughing Dragon," 3 p.m. Friday, with a craft activity for elementary school-age children.

Zoo by Moonlight: The Honolulu Zoo opens when the moon is full, 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday. Tours are $7 for adults, $5 children; purchase in advance. Call 971-7195.



FRIDAY

Barnes & Noble: The store gets a visit from the Cat in the Hat, 7 p.m. Friday and at noon Saturday and Sunday.



SATURDAY

Girls' softball: The Mililani-Waipio Bobby Sox League accepts registration at the Town Center of Mililani from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Membership fees are $55 to $85, for ages 5 to 18. Birth certificate required. Call Dana or Ken at 625-2812.

The Waikele store features Arthur from "Arthur Writes a Story" and "Arthur's Adventures" during story time at 11 a.m.; Bernice Kihara has activities for Geography Awareness Week, noon to 2 p.m.

Ancient Hawaiian Ways: The Hawai'i Nature Center on Maui invites families to explore how people lived and played in earlier times, 1 to 3 p.m. Costs $7. Call 244-6500, Maui.
