The play was adapted from Delia Ephron's book of the same name. It is being staged by a cast of 20 9th- through 12th-grade Kamehameha students with support from Keaka Kamehameha drama club for secondary students. Choreography is by Ka'ohi Yojo, a Kamehameha graduate, who did the choreography when she was a sophomore at the school for a 1990 production of the musical. It was such a hit that the school is staging a revival.

Palmore said that over 5,000 kids from Oahu schools will see the play at performances during school hours this week.
Public performances are 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday in the Ke'elikolani Auditorium on the Kamehameha campus. Tickets are $2 and are available at the door. Or call 842-8356.
