Life and times of sea turtles

If you think the Internet is slow, what about turtles? What about turtles on the Internet?

Here's a site about Hawaiian turtles that started as a devotion of love and admiration for turtles by Ursula and Peter Bennett of Ontario, Canada.

Go to http://www.turtles.org for Turtle Trax, an online newsletter on the lives of Hawaiian turtles.

The couple started by documenting the lives of green sea turtles, particularly those living off West Maui.

They now include updates on ongoing research.

The information goes on with details of the lives and unfortunately deaths of individual turtles.

There is even an updated track of Adelita, a female turtle released off a small town in Mexico who has started a voyage across the Pacific.

Because she is wearing a radio tag with a signal picked up by satellites, you can follow on the adventure.

Earlier this week, Adelita was about halfway to Honolulu.
