Coin show: Kenneth Bressett, president of the American Numismatic Association, will be a featured speaker during a four-day forum at the Hawaii State Numismatic Association coin show, daily through Sunday at the Queen’s Room, Queen Kapiolani Hotel. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission $1.

Kumaipo Trail hike: See great views, native birds and cloud forests with scientist Steve Montgomery, Saturday. Six miles, seven hours. Costs $7. Call the Hawai‘i Nature Center at 955-0100.

Pali Falls hike: Pleasant four miles in Nuuanu with Dick Davis of the Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club, 9 a.m. Saturday. Costs $2. Call 247-3922.

Hawaii Audubon Society: Mary Gaber leads a field trip in search of the Hawaiian coot and other birds, 9 a.m. Saturday, Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden, Kaneohe. Bring lunch, good shoes, bug repellent and sunscreen. Sign up at 247-0104.

Breaking the Barriers: Hawaii Parkinson Association has a 5K run/walk fund-raiser, 7 a.m. Sunday at Kapiolani Park. Warm up at 6:30 a.m. Registration costs $18 general, $10 children. Call 528-0935.

Keiki Fun Run: Children can run to raise funds for the American Cancer

Society, Sunday on the Mall-Level parking deck at Ala Moana Center. The Fun Run, for ages 6 to 13, begins at 7 a.m.; the Dash, for ages 4 and 5, starts 7:30 a.m. Runners must pay an entry fee of $15 or collect $25 or more in pledges. Call 595-7544.

Halawa Ridge hike: Mike Mottl of the Hawaiian Trail & Mountain Club leads the way along a trail built in the 1930s to the Koolau summit, 8 a.m. Sunday. Fourteen miles. Costs $2. Call 254-6360.

Turkey Swim: The Nuuanu YMCA sponsors 2K and 1K races 8:30 a.m. Nov. 23 at Ala Moana Beach Park. Entry fee $18. Applications are in Raceplace Hawaii magazine. Or call 536-3556.

Waikiki Acrobatic Troupe meets 4 p.m. Sundays at the beach across Kapiolani Park

Honolulu Zoo: Zoo opens at 8 a.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. General admission $6; $2 with Yum Yum Tree senior card. First Wednesdays feature a botanical tour at 8:45 a.m. for $2 more. Third Wednesdays, tai chi practice begins 8 a.m. Call 971-7174.

Nature Conservancy hikes: Two guided hikes a month to Honouliuli Preserve, home to more than 45 rare native plants and animals. Donation. Call 537-4508.
