FRIDAY

Sea Jelly Overnight: Learn about jellyfish and their rock-hard relatives, corals, then sleep over at the Waikiki Aquarium. Charge. Register by mail. Call 923-9741.



SATURDAY

Sea Creatures and Crafts: Children ages 6 to 8 learn amazing facts about sea turtles, 9 to 11 a.m. at Sea Life Park. Costs $10. Register at 259-6476.

Hawaii State Library: Children's Storytime, 10:30 a.m. Saturdays through Dec. 7. Call 586-3510.

Borders: Play "Bug Bingo" 11:30 a.m. at the Waikele bookstore, and learn how to identify insects from the rose weevil to the wolf spider.

Snooze in the Zoo: Bring a tent and sleeping bag for a sleep-over among lions, tigers, lemurs and other dreamers at the Honolulu Zoo, 6 p.m. Admission is $27 for adults, $25 for children. Reserve at 971-7195. Repeats Nov. 23.



SUNDAY

Wet and Wild Water: Water babies 6 and older learn about the sculptural power of water, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Hawai'i Nature Center. Costs $7. Reserve at 955-0100.

"Spiders!" on display: Enter the world of the eight-legged, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Jan. 1 at Bishop Museum. See how Hawaii spiders fit into arachnid society and try interactive games. Admission is $14.95 general, $11.95 youths, seniors and military. Call 847-3511.

Tropical plant nature walk: 10 a.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. Sundays at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden. Free. Bring walking shoes, insect repellent and rain gear. Call 233-7323 for reservations.

Train rides: Enjoy a 90-minute ride through Ewa 12:30 and 2:30 p.m. Sundays with the Hawaiian Railway Society, 91-1001 Renton Road. Costs $8 general, $5 seniors and children. Reservations 681-5461.

Afterschool Adventures: The Honolulu Zoo plans a week of activities for children ages 5 to 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday through Nov. 22. Costs $70. Call 971-7195.
