UH exhibition game moved up

The season-opening exhibition between the University of Hawaii men's basketball team and the Jiangsu Club from China has been rescheduled for Nov. 19 at the Special Events Arena.

The 7 p.m. game was originally set for Nov. 23 but the Chinese team "has been called back earlier than expected to compete in a tournament," said Rainbow coach Riley Wallace.

Hawaii will be the last of eight U.S. college teams on Jiangsu's schedule. The Chinese team also will play Marquette, Evansville, Indiana/Purdue-Indianapolis, Northern Illinois, Loyola of Chicago, St. Joseph's, Ind., and Hawaii-Hilo over the next two weeks.

The game is a fund-raiser for the Rainbow Basketball Booster Club. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for students, ages 13 and older. Children 12 and under will be admitted free when accompanied by a paying spectator.
