Paterson
an All-WAC pick

Amanda Paterson, freshman goalkeeper for the University of Hawaii women's soccer team, was named to the All-Western Athletic Conference Pacific Division first team by the league's coaches.

Paterson, from Cronulia, Australia, was the only Wahine on the first team. Denise Tsukada, a junior sweeper, was a second-team selection.



CALLAWAY GOLF

Entries to compete in the Callaway Hawaii State Open golf tournament must be received by the Aloha Section PGA by 5 p.m. Friday.

The tournament is open to local professionals and amateurs with a six handicap or less.

TRIATHLON ENTRY DEADLINE

Persons wishing to enter the Pflueger Acura Mountain Man Triathlon must have their entries postmarked by Saturday.

The 500-meter swim, 20-kilometer mountain bike ride and 5-mile trail run will be held Nov. 17 at Kualoa Ranch.

The fees are $45 per individual, $75 per relay team. For more information, call 732-7227.



TURKEY TROT

The 22nd annual Turkey Trot run, with obstacle courses for the entire family - from tots to senior citizens - will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, at Kaneohe Community Park at 5:30 p.m.

Registration for the race, begins at 5 p.m.

The event, sponsored by the Department of Parks and Recreation, is free.
