Brian Wright takes over as chief financial officer for Hawaii Reserves Inc., the land administration and management company responsible for property owned by Property Reserve Inc. and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

"I am just happy working and living in Laie and helping the community," Wright said. He lives with his wife, Melody, and four daughters.

He has been controller at Hawaii Reserves Inc. since May 1994, working on new accounting systems and procedures.

Wright came to Hawaii from Salt Lake City about 21/2 years ago. He worked 41/2 years as auditor with Deseret Management Corp. and six years as assistant controller and internal auditor with Zions Securities Corp. in Salt Lake City.

Wright earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Southern Utah University. He is a certified public accountant.
