Exotic gifts at Folk Art Bazaar

The Folk Art Bazaar, the popular annual sale put on by the Honolulu Academy of Arts, will run from Nov. 30 through Dec. 24.

Also featured will be ethnic fashions such as hand-woven ikats, indigo tie-dye, vintage Japanese kimono and haori, vests of Indian sari silk and huipils from Guatemala - most one-of-a-kind items. The pieces are accompanied by information on the methods used in creating them and on people who made them.

There will be no admission charge for visitors to the bazaar, the Academy Shop or the Garden Cafe. Parking is available for $1 with validation at the Linekona Art Center.
