Going out happy

DR. Jack Kevorkian inspires much debate. And the caregiver stories by Helen Altonn in this week's Star-Bulletin sum up the difficulties that caring for an elderly member of the family can have. Dan and Judy Woods are among those who don't want to hang on at all costs. Dan, an avid runner, says he told Judy: "Don't let me get to that stage. Before I'm too far gone, just tie me to the bumper of the car and take me out for a good 10-miler. At least I'll go doing something I enjoy." As for me, just give me five minutes alone with Sharon Stone and I'll go smiling ...
