Tune in to get up on tunes

Star-Bulletin

Have you imagined yourself ripping off hot riffs but the closest you've gotten to that is playing air guitar? Help is on the way.

A new television program, "Eazy Tunes," hosted by teens Erin Chang and Kenji Matsuda, has lined up six celebrities to help you learn to play a dozen songs on the guitar.

The shows air 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning tomorrow, on the Education Channel II (Oceanic channel 56 on Oahu). The programs are repeated twice the following weekend, at 9 p.m. Saturdays and 5:30 p.m. Sundays.

Kicking off the series is guest "Uncle Harry" Koizumi. Lehua Kalima of Na Leo Pilimehana appears Oct. 23; Kelly Boy Delima of Kapena, Oct. 30; Keali'i Kaneali'i of Hapa, Nov. 6; Teresa Bright, Nov. 13; and Jason Scott Lee, Nov. 20.

Guests talk with Chang and Matsuda about themselves and their music. Then the co-hosts themselves learn to play the songs and help you get attuned.
