DEATHS ELSEWHERE

Benjamin H. Brown who developed technologies for computer floppy disks, died Wednesday of heart failure. He was 69. Brown founded Brown Disc Manufacturing Inc. in 1981 to make magnetic disks to store binary data.

Golden A. Buchmiller a former editor for The Deseret News in Salt Lake City and writer for the newspaper's church news supplement, died Wednesday after a heart attack. He was 74.

Ruth Nanako Seiji Johnson, 63, of California, formerly of Honolulu, died Feb. 10 in California. She is survived by sons David and Michael; daughters Leilani Titlbach, Ali Livengood and Naomi Johnson; brothers Arnold and Charles; sisters Ethel and Gale Seiji, Bertha Ng, Janet Durrett, Bea Burham and Judy Montgomery, and a granddaughter.
