Alice Y. Chang, 85, of Honolulu, a retired Hawaii Newspaper Agency payroll clerk, died Sept. 22 in Kuakini Hospital. She is survived by husband Gabriel; son Michael; and two grandchildren. Private services.

Roque D. Cuesta, 69, of Wahiawa died Sept. 20 in Wahiawa. He is survived by wife Irene C.; daughter Lorna Kailiuli; brother Ponsiano; sisters Conchita Calaustro and Rosita "Rose" Vasquez; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Donald M. Gillis, 52, of Honolulu will be remembered in services tomorrow. Gillis, a general foreman for the Hawaiian Dredging & Construction Co. and a world champion power lifter, was shot to death Saturday in a parking lot near the Arizona Memorial. He is survived by wife Sandra; daughters Noelani G. Fernandez and Kelly Gillis-Becker; mother Neomi; and two grandchildren. Service over his ashes: 10 a.m. tomorrow at Hawaii Kai Maunalua Bay Park Boat Ramp. Scattering of ashes to follow.

John A. Graffam, 78, of Kailua, a retired federal agricultural inspector, died Saturday in Kailua. He is survived by wife Phyllis; daughters Sherry, Peggy, Karen and Holly; son Mike; sisters Margie Cheney, Kay Hall and Millie Hatch; brother Ken; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Irene Harada, 91, of Kapaa, Kauai, retired owner and teacher of Irene's Sewing School, died Tuesday in the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital. Moses M. "Uncle Moki" Kailihiwa, 52, of Waimanalo, owner of M & C Trucking Services, died last Friday in Castle Hospital. He is survived by wife Charlene; children Sharlani K., Nalani M. and Moses M. Richard Lunderville, 72, of Honolulu died Monday in Tripler Hospital. Lunderville, a U.S. Navy retiree, also was a radioman/communication supervisor for the Pacific Missile Range Facility, communications group leader/security representative for Kentron International Corp., and an employee of Hayes Freeman guard services. He is survived by wife Marilyn J. Voshell; daughter Laura Taylor; brothers Robert Lunderville, and Angel and Chris Velarde; sisters Elma Delgadillo and Roberta Moore; wife Cheryl; and two grandchildren. Malia K.L. Mauga, 69, of Waianae died Sept. 21 in Waianae. She is survived by husband Alefosio S.; son Isitolo; daughter Maliana G. Mailo; and 13 grandchildren. W.B. Sutherland Jr., of Alabama, a former Hawaii state employee who also was the chief of material for the Pearl Harbor Navy Shipyard, died July 11 in Ozark, Ala. Sutherland, a World War II veteran, was the recipient of several medals, including the Bronze Star and World War II Victory Medal. He is sur vived by wife Rebecca I.; ex-wife Frances L.; sister Memory Johnson; half brothers Gilbert Hopkins and John C. Sutherland; sons William B. III and Andrew F.; stepsons William Kindred and Thomas C. Clemons; and seven grandchildren. Services held.

Charles I. Takeuchi, 86, of Honolulu, a retired city Building Department maintenance supervisor and retired Sheraton Moana Surfrider Hotel timekeeper, died Tuesday in Kuakini Hospital. He is survived by wife Helen; son Ronald S.; daughters Estelle H. Kajiwara, Mae M. McKay and Rona K. Uyehara; brothers Yoshio and Hisao; sister Harriet K. Yamada; and four grandchildren.
