Sailing information
available on 'Net

Eleven months ago Brian "B.J." Caldwell was hanging on for dear life as his 26-foot sloop Mai Vavau was pitched upside down in a midnight storm in the Indian Ocean.

He survived the capsizing, righted the boat and is now making his way back to Hawaii.

If all goes according to calculations, Caldwell, 20, will arrive back in Honolulu tonight or tomorrow, entering the record books as the youngest person to sail solo around the world.

The entire remarkable circumnavigation is available online at http://holoholo.org/caldwell/.

The site includes a daily map of Caldwell's location and reports on the weather he's facing.

That's not the only place to find out about sailing in cyberspace. If you can feel the wind coming up and want to cast off on the 'Net, steer for http://www.maui.net/~paragon/links.html for a fairly complete listing of local sailing information.
