Festivities start with 6 p.m. entertainment on the beach fronting the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, where the Aloha Festivals Royal Court arrives via outrigger canoe at 6:30 p.m. Hula reigns on ewa stages, with Halau Hula Olana, Keolaulani Halau 'Olapa O Laka, and Waianae Coast Culture and Arts. Entertainment crescendoes along Kalakaua with award-winning performers Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, Na Leo Pilimehana and Hapa, plus military bands on the Diamond Head-end stages.
Thirty-three food booths include Kanack Attack, Na Leo O Waimanalo, Shiggy's Delicacy, and Pasta Picasso, while a dozen stands offer colorful lei. The evening ends with the singing of "Hawai'i Aloha" at 10:30 p.m. KCCN Radio will live-broadcast the event, which features, among others:

Stage 3 - Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center, makai of Waikiki Beachcomber Hotel: 7 p.m. Leilani Alama Hula Studio, 8:15 p.m. Waianae Coast Culture and Arts, 9:30 p.m. Hula Halau O Maile.
Stage 4 - Makai of International Marketplace: 7 p.m. Kapena, 8 p.m. Pacific Blue, 9 p.m. Chinky Mahoe's Halau Hula 'O Kawaili'ula and Makaha Sons.
