Art in the park
Hui O Na Makamaka - The Friends of the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped - are sponsoring "Art in The Park" 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 and 22 in Kapiolani Park. It features crafts and artworks, entertainments, food and information.

'Da Car Show' next month at Blaisdell
The annual "Da Car Show" occurs 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 11, noon to 11 p.m. Oct. 12 and noon to 10 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Blaisdell Center exhibition Hall. More than 150 cars, trucks, motorcycles and lowrider bicycles will be on display, as well as model cars, go-karts and box cars.
Admission is $6; children 5 to 12 are $2; it's a fundraiser for Easter Seals. Information: 536-1015.
'VolcanoScapes V' video on sale
Everything you ever wanted to know about the Big Island's volcanoes, Volcano House, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park surrounding environment is probably found in the new video, "VolcanoScapes V."
Fifth in a series, the video highlights 200 years of the park's major eruptions from 1790 through the on-going Pu'u O'o now in its 13th year. It also discusses the geology, ecology, culture and history of America's 12th national park. Park rangers guide viewers on hikes through untouched lava tubes, petroglyphs, and lava flows into the sea.
"VolcanoScapes" - $29.95 plus $4 postage and handling - was filmed and written by Mick Kalber; narration by Dunbar Wakayama.
"VolcanoScapes" is available at Hilo Hatties, Akatsuka Orchid Gardens, Longs, Book Gallery, Basically Books, Volcano House, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center, and Jaggar Museum. For more information call 808-935-5557.
