Star-Bulletin staff

Wanda Miyashiro of Honolulu won the Star-Bulletin's Football Fever contest this week, going a perfect 10 for 10 in her predictions.

She wins $500 for her prognostications and might want to start a clinic for the contest's celebrity panelists.

Miyashiro, who was not available to comment on her good fortune, easily topped the best score on the panel.

Star-Bulletin writers Mike Fitzgerald and Cindy Luis, and KHNL's Robert Kekaula were all 7-3 to lead their peers.

KHON-Fox 2's Leslie Wilcox was next at 5-5, while KCCN's Brickwood Galuteria and Charly Espina at 4-6.

Fitzgerald leads the panel on the season with an overall 23-7 record.

The women, who came into the week leading on the season with a 43-17 record, fell slightly off the pace. The men are now 60-30 to the women's 59-31.

Football Fever contestants must score equal to or better than the best celebrity panelist(s) in order to qualify for the weekly award of $500. The winner is selected at random from those who meet that criteria.
