Hayden holds hotel's
purse strings

Bruce R. Hayden takes over as comptroller of the Hilton Hawaiian Village as expansion is on the horizon.

"We getting the permits now for the underwater aquatic adventure (in the lagoon) which should be opening in late 1998 or early 1999," Hayden said. The area will allow snorkeling and viewing of marine species, he said.

He handles all of the financial operations for the 2,545-room resort and supervises a team of 30 persons in the finance department. Hayden's duties include compiling the hotels many financial reports.

Hayden , with 18 years experience with Hilton Hotels, last worked as comptroller in the Los Angeles Airport Hilton.

He also worked at the Turtle Bay Hilton, the Capital Hilton in Washington D.C., the Shamrock Hilton in Houston, and the Jacksonville Hilton in Jacksonville, Fla. Hayden lives in Hawaii Kai.
