Kazue "Joy" Adachi, 82, of Honolulu, a retired Singer Sewing Center instructor, died Saturday in Queen's Hospital. She is survived by husband Tadatoshi; sons Glen and Alan; daughters Lorna Haines, Gayle Schley and Carolyn Witze; brothers Masao, Manao and Fukashi Hayashikawa; sisters Gladys Yoshihara and Marie Hamamoto, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorial service: 6 p.m. Sunday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary. Casual attire. No flowers.

Ross D. Bewley, 57, of Garden Grove, Calif., and Kailua-Kona, a fisherman, died July 19. He is survived by wife Hazel M.; stepchildren Lana Lopes, Edward K. Davis Jr. and Zandra Dehmer; mother Ina VanDalsen; brothers Doss, Jessie Jr. and Don; sisters Sandra Best and Janice Denny, seven grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. Services held.

Mattie L. Barro, 54, of Mililani died Aug. 31 in St. Francis Hospital. She is survived by husband Vicente; sons Jose V., Anthony R., Bobby L., Christopher L. and David L.; daughters Paulette M. Chan and Antoinette D. Brinson; mother Addie Bradley; brothers Elijah Jr. and Dale Bradley; sisters Hattie Lee, Annette Reed and Debra Bradley, and 27 grandchildren. Cora J. Cummings, 69, of Hawaiian Beaches, Hawaii, died Tuesday at home. She is survived by husband Joseph H. Jr.; daughters Patti Carney and Diane Doan; sons John and Sean Carney; stepdaughters Napua Borsa, Kiinani Dodge and Kawena Kaniho; stepsons Jaysen A.K., Jeffery A.K. and Jeryl A.K.; sister Fran Dapper, and two grandchildren. Private services held.

Charles G. Fujii, 86, of Honolulu, a retired general contractor, died Sept. 4 in Straub Hospital. He is survived by wife Janet H.; son Lawrence M.; daughter Frances F. Chung, and six grandchildren. Services were private.

Herbert Hee was also survived by companion Grace Yoshioka. Incorrect information was published in an obituary Tuesday.

Mamie L. Kahlbaum, 63, of Kaneohe, an executive housekeeper, died Monday in Castle Hospital. She is survived by sons Bryon K. and Curtis K. Magdaro and Gabriel K., Jonathan P. and Jeffrey L. Kahlbaum; daughters Donni-Dian L. Pa, Lysandra S.L. Padeken and Margaret L. Morrow; brother Joseph P. Ferreira Jr., and 20 grandchildren. Services: 7 p.m. Monday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary, call after 6 p.m.; and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial to follow. Casual attire.

John Kaopuiki, 65, of Honolulu, a retired merchant seaman, died Sept. 4 in Queen's Hospital. He is survived by wife Jeannine T.; daughter Michelle L. Kaopuiki-Ugalino; brothers Daniel Jr., Soloman, Samuel, Junior and Isaac, and sisters Rebecca Richardson, the Rev. Lei Kanipae, Harriet Katiel and Eva Kwon. Harold H. Kubo, 79, of Hilo, a retired heavy equipment operator for Kuwaye Trucking Co. and Allied Aggregates Corp., died last Thursday in the Life Care Center of Hilo. Kubo, also a cowboy for the Kukaiau Ranch, is survived by wife Vivian V.; son Erwine S.; daughters Pamela A. Bennett and Natalie M. Kubo; brother George Watanabe; sister Edna Kansaku, and five grandchildren. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary. Call after 9 a.m. Inurnment: Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Linda Y. Lee, 47, of Pearl City, a medical transcriber, died Aug. 26 in Kuakini Hospital. She is survived by son Scott M.; daughter Michele A. Wadsack; brothers Jerry S., Wayne T. and Miles T. Suzuki; sister Sandra E. Takahashi; mother Masako Suzuki, and a grandchild. Services were private.

William E. Like,whose obituary was published Tuesday, is also survived by sister Thelma K.

Roberta R. Mandeville, 77, of Stockton, Calif., formerly of Kailua, died Aug. 30 in Stockton, Calif. Mandeville, a former Olomana Boys Home volunteer teacher, is survived by sons Richard W., Russell D. and Stephen D.; daughter Jeanne M. Sperry; sister Margaret White, and five grandchildren. Services held.

Milton Pikini, 62, of Kailua, will be remembered in services Sunday and Monday. Pikini's body was found last Thursday in the ocean off Punaluu. He was a Hawaii Newspaper Agency pressman. He is survived by wife Consorcia S.; sons Nathan Pikini, David Lopes and Edward, Jerry, Alvin and Edwin R. Cantere; daughters Ranei Alvarez, Allison Fernandez and Faynette Schweitzer; brothers Henry and Donald; sisters Marian Lee and Gretchen Pikini, 31 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Nuuanu Mortuary, call after 6 p.m.; and 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary, call after 8 a.m. Burial with military honors: Valley of the Temples. Aloha attire.

Kerry J. Shannon, 51, of Makawao, died Tuesday at home. Edward M. Takeyama, 74, of Honolulu, owner of Metropolitan Realty Co. and Metropolitan Insurance Agency, died Sunday in Kaiser Hospital. He is survived by wife Michiko; daughters Cara T. Nip, Lori A.
