Real estate is latest calling
for Clement

What ever happened to Daniel Clement, former city councilman and one-time mayoral candidate?

Clement retired from Bishop Trust Co. as a vice president. He then worked as a business consultant until going into real estate within the past year.

Clement also retired as a full colonel from the Army Reserve after 36 years of service. His career included four years of active duty, from 1956 to 1960, most of it as a training officer at Fort Lewis, Wash.

He first won a City Council seat in 1972, defeating Herman Lemke in a special election. He was a councilman for more than 10 years, losing his seat to Welcome Fawcett in 1982.

Clement ran as the Republican candidate for mayor in 1976 and lost to Frank Fasi in the general election.
