public, will air Saturday, 7 a.m., on KITV.

Hawaiian Kennel Club
dog show at Blaisdell

Woof! The Hawaiian Kennel Club's 109th and 110th "All-Breed Dog Shows" begin at 10 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the Blaisdell Center and continue until the cows come home.

More than 500 dogs are entered each day. Club representative Florence Males will answer dog questions at 12:30 Sunday.

Admission is $3; $1 for children. Information: 262-5236.

Iolani Palace hosts 'Serenade'

The Friends of Iolani Palace are hosting their annual "Queen's Serenade" at 5 p.m. Saturday on the palace grounds.

The Royal Hawaiian Band, The Royal Guard, Anthony Lenchanko, Kanile'a and various hula contest winners will perform.

The public can also groove on the new flowers planted around the palace.

Wood exhibit at Aloha Tower

"Na La'au o Hawaii," the Woods of Hawaii exhibition, occurs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 7 through 15 at Aloha Tower Marketplace, Pier 10.

This juried exhibition of works by Hawaii's best woodcrafters also includes demonstrations, educational displays by the Hawaii Forest Industry Association and a silent auction.
