University of Hawaii Board of Regents: Statewide hearings on proposed amendments to Chapter 20-21, Hawaii Administrative Rules, governing fees of the University of Hawaii libraries. The amendments would enable the university to offer additional library services under the external services program and increase administrative fees.
Big Island: 5 p.m. next Monday, University of Hawaii-Hilo campus center, room 306-307.
Maui: 5 p.m. Sept. 10, Maui Community College, student lounge.
Oahu: 5 p.m. Sept. 11, University of Hawaii-Manoa, Campus Center.
Kauai: 1:30 p.m. Sept. 12, Kauai Community College, student lounge.
LAND
Department of Land Utilization: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, City Hall Annex, personnel conference room. Hearing on Otaka Limited Partnership zoning variance application to allow a directly illuminated business identification ground sign on a zoning lot that does not qualify for a ground sign, due to inadequate building setback and not permitted type of illumination; to allow a sign to encroach into the required 10-foot setback and exceed the maximum size and number.
