He has more than eight years of experience in the construction industry and came to Fletcher Pacific in 1990 as controller. Moore also worked three years with Fletcher Construction in Papua, New Guinea. He was also worked as a hotel industry controller for six years.

Moore got the New Zealand equivalent of a certified public accountant degree from the New Zealand Society of Accountants.
