OPENING

"Getting Somewheres": Two vignettes based on the lives of women who worked on Hawaii plantations, 7 p.m. Friday, Japanese Cultural Center's Weinberg Building, Room 301. Akiko Masuda and Dorene Tagudin portray Tsuru Yamauchi and Venicia Guiala, whose stories were collected by the University of Hawaii Center for Oral History, then dramatized by Victoria Kneubuhl.
