"It's very different in the sense that I am working full-time in food service. It's a fast-paced, competitive business. It's a different challenge with opportunities," Kurihara said.

Kurihara joined Price Waterhouse in 1984 after earning a bachelor's degree in marketing and studying accounting at the University of Hawaii as a post-graduate. He lives in Hawaii Kai with his wife, Debbie, and their children: Kyle, 2-1/2; and Justin, 6 months.
