Haleakala is one of the "Wonders" nominees.
Readers responded, not overwhelmingly, but enough so that there's no consensus. The only thing most seemed to agree on was that the Seven Wonders of Hawaii should be natural, not man-made. Sure, there were votes for Ala Moana Center, the Polynesian Cultural Center, the Duke Kahanamoku statue and even "all the Wyland murals in Hawaii." But the natural nominations far outweighed the unnatural.
Wonderful. After winnowing the nominations to the 17 listed, we need a run-off. Vote for your top seven of those listed here and mail it to Wonders, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, P.O.
