
Morse, which was ranked 15th statewide in California last season, carries several Division I prospects on its roster.
The game was originally scheduled to be played Aug. 23 at Castle High. The game will start at 5 p.m.
Morse, which was 8-1-2 last season, has a 6-foot-4, 230-pound tight end named Lonnie Ford. Ford has a 36-inch vertical leap.
The Tigers also will bring in Anthony Gabriel, a 6-2, 225-pounder who has a 172-foot discus throw, and tailback Mike Yancy, who runs the 40 in 4.5. Yancy is expected to set the career rushing record at Morse.
The Japanese are here as part of the Hawaii/Fukuoka Sister-State Educational, Athletic and Cultural Exchange program.
Hawaii is represented by 12 boys and 12 girls from the OIA Western Division and 11 boys and 12 girls from the Eastern Division.
The boys will play volleyball and the girls will play basketball.
The McKinley contests were held yesterday and the Mililani competitions will be held tomorrow, starting at 9:45 a.m. with volleyball.
In basketball yesterday, the OIA East defeated Fukuoka, 59-50, as Hinano Higa scored 12 points and Darolyn Custodio added 10.
