Ha named general manager
of Sheraton Maui

The Sheraton Maui Hotel will reopen in November following a $150 million redevelopment project, under new general manager Randall Ha.

"We tore everything down except for two structures and rebuilt the hotel," Ha said. It has the same number of rooms, 510.

The new facility, with seven structures, includes 30 junior suites. These suites have 665 square feet and three double beds. "These suites are good for families or for friends," Ha said.

There is also 17,000 square feet for meetings, he said.

Ha began his career at Sheraton in 1976 as a bellman at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki. He was promoted to managerial jobs at the Royal Hawaiian, Sheraton Princess Kailulani, Sheraton Makaha and Sheraton Maui. For the past three years, Ha was manager of the Sheraton Waikiki.

The Sheraton Maui is owned by Kyo-ya Co. Ltd. and managed by ITT Sheraton.
