Ditto to take over Hawaii Reserves' projects

Completing the $12 million expansion of the Laie water reclamation facility in about one year is the main job ahead for Dan Ditto, recently named to lead Hawaii Reserves Inc.

The company is the land administration and management unit of Property Reserve Inc., a corporation owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ditto replaces Jack Hoag, who will become company board chairman.

"The direction of the company will remain the same - first-rate customer service and long-range solutions for Laie," Ditto said.

Ditto has served as HRI's chief operating officer and legal counsel. He was born and raised in Montana and came to Hawaii in 1977 to work as a pineapple planting supervisor on Lanai.

He earned a bachelor's degree in American studies and law degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
