"We have a new dinner menu which started July 5. It's Hawaiian-American cuisine, a three-course dinner with two glasses of wine," said Rusconi, the hotel's new director of restaurant and beverage operations.

He most recently was assistant food and beverage director at the Mandarin Oriental in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Prior to that, Rusconi held various positions at the Kahala Hilton Hotel including executive management trainee, restaurant manager, and assistant food and beverage manager.

He earned a degree in hotel management at the Hotel School of Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Royal Hawaiian, owned by Kyo-ya Co. Ltd., is part of the "Luxury Collection" of hotels operated by ITT Sheraton.
