Akebono, Musashimaru unbeaten

NAGOYA, Japan - Yokozuna (grand champion) Akebono and ozeki (champion) Musashimaru of Hawaii were tied for the lead with three other wrestlers at 4-0 today, the fourth day of the 15-day Nagoya Grand Sumo Tournament.

Akebono, or Chad Rowan, had little trouble dropping Tamakasuga and Musashimaru, or Fiamalu Penitani, took out Kotonowaka.

Also unbeaten are Higonoumi, Musoyama and Takanonami.

Grand champion Takanohana (3-1) threw down Kotonishiki (3-1).

Konishiki, or Salevaa Atisanoe from Hawaii (1-3), fell down while bulldozing No. 9 Kitakachidoki and slipped to 1-3.

In the 26-member Juryo division, William Hopkins of Hawaii (2-2) ousted Kasugafuji and Hawaii's George Kalima (2-2) was pushed out by Wakahayato.

In Makushita, the top junior division, Kaleo Kekauoha of Hawaii (1-1) defeated Ominato, Percy Kipapa of Hawaii (1-1) threw down Dejima and Hawaii's John Feleunga (0-2), was pushed out by Aranonami.
