FRIDAY

Children's Fair: Enjoy free activities, such as games and toy-making with recyclable objects, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at McCoy Pavilion, Ala Moana Beach Park. The Department of Parks and Recreation's Therapeutic Recreation Unit is promoting the concept "Leisure Is for Everyone." Sign language interpreters will be available. Call 522-7034.

Borders: Puppet and story fun presented by the Gymboree, 11 a.m. in the Waikele bookstore. Keiki Story Time is 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays in July.

Barnes & Noble: The Kahala bookstore features a special guest, Ms. Frizzle from the "Magic School Bus" series, 7 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday and Sunday.

SATURDAY

McZoo Summer Fest: McDonalds and Hawaii zoos offer family fun this summer, with stories, games, entertainment, arts and crafts and more.

"McFun" begins at the Honolulu Zoo, featuring a "Living Art Wall," a chance to make your own animal headband and chalk drawing, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. At the Art Wall, the artist Apollo will supervise children in 15-minute sessions with acrylic paint. Kama'aina admission is $4 adults, $1 children (free for kids younger than 6). Call 971-7174.

Summer Fest continues at the Keiki Zoo Maui on July 27 and Aug. 24; Panaewa Rainforest Zoo on Aug. 3; and Honolulu Zoo again on Aug. 10. Call the Keiki Zoo at 878-2189, Maui; Panaewa Zoo at 959-7224, Big Island.

Super Sea Turtles: Children ages 4 and 5 and adult companions explore Hawaii's marine life with stories, crafts and animal observation, 9 to 11 a.m. at Sea Life Park. Costs $15 for adult-child team; includes park admission. Call 259-6476.

Summer Sea Series for children 4 and 5 runs July 15-18; costs $15 per day. Sea Turtles session for children 6 to 8 will be 9 a.m. July 20; costs $10.

Mini fair: Special Dreams presents fishing, dice and maze games for children, at $1 per game, 2 to 4 p.m. at Windward Mall's center court.

SUNDAY

Bubblemania: Family fun with a look at bubbles in nature and a chance to make your own, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hawai'i Nature Center. Costs $5. Reserve at 955-0100.

CONTINUING

"SPORT" on display: Hands-on activities reveal the science behind athletics, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Sept. 2 at Bishop Museum. Admission is $7.95 general, $6.95 youths, seniors and military. Call 847-3511.
