Valfrido Patacchi, 76, of Honolulu, an entertainer, composer and professor, died Wednesday in Honolulu.Patacchi costarred with television star Betty White in Rogers & Hammerstein's "The King and I."
He also performed in various various Hallmark Hall of Fame telecasts.
Patacchi performed bass/baritone roles with major opera companies throughout the country and on network telecasts of such operas as "Carmen."
He retired in 1985 as music department chairman for Stephens College in Columbia, Mo.
Last year, he retired as musical stage director for Brevard (N.C.) Music Center.
