The Reach Ensemble: New York's No. 1 international gospel choir makes its Hawaii debut 8 p.m. Friday at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. "Sing and Shout!" tells the story in song of how gospel music enabled African Americans to withstand social, moral and economic pressures. "Tales & Songs of Jazz": Works by Duke Ellington, Cole Porter, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Michael LeGrand, performed by vocalist Lilian Terry, Francesco Crosara on piano and Noel Okimoto on the electric vibraphone, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Atherton Performing Arts Studio, Hawaii Public Radio. Cebu Performing Arts Company: The Filipino ensemble performs its dynamic interpretations of the music and dance of the Visayas, 8 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Imin Center, Jefferson Hall.
