Travis Yoshinaga, Manoa: "I think the Celtics are the best team of all-time. They've won more championships than the Bulls, and had players like Bill Russell and Bob Cousy."
Gloriane Cordeiro, Honolulu: "I'd say the Celtics. They won the most championships, and they had the greatest player of all, Larry Bird. He was the best at playing with his teammates."
Darrell J. Bactad, Hawaii Kai: "The Celtics of the mid-'80s. Bird, Parish, McHale and company had the teamwork and chemistry to win three championships. They had to beat the Laker dynasty twice, and competition was more fierce than it is now."
Robert Hose Jr., Pearl City: "The Celtics. Great players, Russell, Havlicek, so on. The Lakers were also great, with Chamberlain and others, but my choice is the Celtics."
Randy Akina, Wahiawa: "Chicago Bulls of '96. When you compare them with the old teams, the talent is so much better now. It's pretty obvious when you watch the films that the kids of today are bigger, faster and have more skills. Even the strategies are more high-tech now."
Bryan Min, Waimanalo: "The Bulls. Winning 70 games, and with the pressure mounting beating the Sonics. Michael Jordan makes them the greatest ever."
Cory Ching, Pearl City: "Arguably, the 1966-67 76ers were the greatest. Wilt Chamberlain, Hal Greer and Billy Cunningham, all Hall-of-Famers, played on that team. In those days, there were only 10 teams in the NBA. Talent was not as diluted as today. Also, traveling was much tougher. So the 76ers record of 68-13 is even more remarkable."
Jeffrey Aurelio, Waipahu: "The Bulls have four titles, and they broke the record for games won in a season."
